Circle January 28 on your calendar for the gala celebration of the winter season. The Marco Island Historical Society will take you back to your youth with Prom Night at the Rose History Auditorium, complete with cocktails, dinner and dancing to the doo-wop music of the 11-piece Uptown Express band. The festivities start at 6 P.M. and the cocktail hour will feature special photo ops outside with the Key Marco Cat. Dinner will include a carving station for roast beef as well as a fish or chicken entrée. Later a floorshow will be presented by the Spotlight Dance Studio and there will be a live auction by Chris Lombardo, including original artwork by noted local artists Phyllis Pransky and Paul Arsenault, both of whom will be present. For serious donors, packages labeled bronze, silver, gold and platinum were available—only the silver still remains. This will be our major fundraiser for the winter season, and we hope you will all want to attend. Tickets are $75 per person and are being sold at the museum gift shop. Hours are 10-4 Tuesdays through Saturdays.
