Don’t miss the final lecture in the 2018 Florida Humanities Speaker Series, featuring fascinating programs about Florida’s history, culture and people. Presented by the Florida Humanities Council (FHC) in partnership with Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, this series has showcased engaging talks and performances each month since November.
The March 20th lecture, “Lighthouses of the Sunshine State: Sentinels of History along Florida’s Coast” is a journey across Florida with Brendan Burke, Maritime Historian at the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum.
The Florida Humanities Council partners with community organizations around the state. Support for the Speaker Series is provided by the Florida Humanities Council with funds from the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Friends of Rookery Bay.
