Get ready for Pirate Day, taking place at the Marco Island Historical Museum on Saturday, January 21, 2017.
Marauding pirates were a constant headache for the Spanish sea captains during the 1600s, and tall tales of swashbucklers and buried treasure abound in Southwest Florida to this day. Pirate-themed arts and crafts, face painting, treasure hunts, a dunk tank and more will make this a friendly adventure into Florida’s past for the whole family!
The Marco Island Historical Museum invites families and children of all ages to join in on a fun-filled afternoon on the high seas. The event will take place from 11 AM–2 PM and admission is free. The Museum is located at 180 S. Heathwood Drive, Marco Island. For more information visit www.themihs.com.
