“This event will take on a life of its own and will be highly anticipated each year, the combination of sun, boating, friends and a splash of golf makes it a blast” said Karen Thompson, event coordinator and owner of Chain Life Winter Haven LLC. “Each hole location is competing to be voted the best hole location by the golfers, they never know what awaits them at the next hole.”
The event will begin at 9 a.m. and should end by two. The traditional tenth or watering hole will be announced soon with an awards luncheon. A pre-event party will be held Fri., May 17, at 6 p.m. also at a location soon to be announced.
Sponsors are needed and Teams are limited. “First time events are typically challenging especially one as unique as this one,” Karen Thompson, event coordinator. “It’s my job to really promote it and paint a clear picture of just how fun this tournament is and then deliver a slam dunk event, that everyone will be talking about all year long. I was blown away at how receptive the restaurant/bars were when I visited them two weeks ago. They simply looked at me and said “we’re IN.” Players are encouraged to call now to reserve a team.
