The Marco Island Fire Rescue Foundation (MIFRF) held its annual pancake breakfast fundraiser at Fire Station #50 on Sunday.
MIFRF volunteers mix up the batter, fry up the sausage, scramble eggs and flip the cakes alongside Fire Chief Michael Murphy. If you’re a youngster, you may be lucky enough to be asked if you’d like chocolate chips on your pancakes.
This annual breakfast is an opportunity for the community to come together to enjoy breakfast with neighbors and friends. And, it is a special opportunity to rub elbows with first responders in the Fire Department as well as Collier EMS. Fire engines are open to the public for viewing and the MIFRF merchandise is available for purchase. A cruise raffle, held annually, benefits the MIFRF scholarship program.
