The Carvelli Family has created a little slice of their homeland in the quaint atmosphere of Marco Island. The family shared a cherished memory from their childhoods in Mesoraca, Italy, when the entire family and friends sat at the table to share meals and conversations. Brothers Luigi, Sal and Francesco Carvelli with cousins Adamo and Francesco Serravalle opened the first DaVinci’s Restaurant in Marco Island on Florida’s Gulf Coast in 1996. Ever since it has been only growing and years after, the Carvelli family has brought their many years of experience to Marco again, creating a contemporary steak house, Marco Prime Steaks and Seafood which opened August 2013. With the success of Marco Prime, The Carvelli Restaurant Group was born and a new concept emerged, The Oyster Society Seafood and Raw Bar, opened December of 2016. Located in the heart of Marco Island, across from the Hilton Hotel in the Marco Walk Plaza near its sister restaurants, Marco Prime and Ristorante Davinci.
The Oyster Society transports you back in time with 1920’s inspired hued rooms, art deco interiors as you soak in the nautical touches while listening to sexysounds of the jazz age. Enjoy a live Jazz band in the lounge area every Wednesday and Sunday evening. Relax and unwind as you sit at the half inside/outside bar for $5-$7 items during “Social Hour” everyday starting at 4:30 PM. The Oyster Society takes pride in their hand selected local seafood, shellfish, and daily raw bar specials. Their first class wine list and freshly crafted cocktails are perfect compliments to the seasonal seafood dishes. The menu is designed to showcase the sea. Sail through courses with selections devoted to oysters, crudo’s, composed fish dishes and a selection of meats to round out their offerings.
