Unlike a School Advisory Committee (SAC), which is prevalent in other public schools, the MICMS School Board is a governing, not an advisory body and is charged with providing for the financial security and setting policy for the school.
Interested individuals can obtain an application by going online at www.micms.org or stop by or call the school at 377-3200. Successful applicants will need to go to the Collier County Public School Administration Center on 5775 Osceola Trail to get fingerprinted and secure a background check. The deadline for submitting a completed application, resume and background check is November 1.
The election will take place from the middle of November until December 5. Although candidates need not be parents but can be from the community at large, only parents of current students are eligible to vote.
For more information, contact the School at 377-3200.
