Applications to enroll in next year’s sixth, seventh and eighth grades can be obtained from the school or by going on the school’s website at MICMS.org. Applications must be submitted in person, and can only be submitted by the parent or legal guardian.
When the open enrollment period closes — should the number of applications exceed the number of seats available in each grade level — a lottery will be used to determine which students get admitted to the school, as per state law. After the open enrollment period expires, applications will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis, if a lottery was avoided.
Submitting the paperwork early during the open enrollment period to Cathy Vergo, MICMS office manager, will be beneficial. If there is some information missing from the application, applicants can work with her and will have time to present that information prior to the close of the open enrollment period.
