Nalya Fishman Peeker of Marco Island, a beloved mother, grandmother, and dear friend of many, passed away suddenly April 13th at the age of 79. Nalya leaves behind two children, a daughter named Victoria Peeker Barry and her husband Daryl Barry, a son Michael Peeker and his wife Jennifer Peeker, and three grandchildren Amanda Barry, Alexander Barry, and Olivia Peeker. Nayla was born in Kiev to parents Isaak Fishman and Masha Fishman. She immigrated to the US in 1980. She briefly lived in Louisville and later settled in Nashville, where she raised her kids and cared for her parents. In 2002, she moved to Atlanta to be closer to her children and grandchildren. In 2011, she moved to Marco Island where she loved to go to the beach or pool. Nayla quickly made friends wherever she went and soon had close friends in Nashville, Atlanta, and Marco Island. Nalya always put her children and grandchildren ahead of herself and leaves a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. She will be forever missed and never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held in Marco Island and Nashville once the social distancing requirements are relaxed.
