Newcomers Club Honors Jacky Childress

A select group of Newcomers Club of Marco Island members recently met at the Island Country Club for an Appreciation Luncheon to honor outgoing president, Jacky Childress. Kim King played hostess to this time honored event, a 46-year tradition. The attendees included several past presidents, board members, and Jacky’s Arts and Entertainment (“A&E”)

club members. As always, the Island Country Club lunch was delicious and exceeded expectations. The Appreciation Luncheon is also a roast of sorts, where funny stories about the outgoing president are shared. It was an afternoon filled with a few tears, and lots of laughter.
