The East Naples Merchants Association (ENMA) recently gathered for its first business network meeting of 2018, hosted by Fuller Funeral Home. True to tradition, Collier County Commissioner Donna Fiala along with Chief Hearing Examiner Mark Strain presented what to expect in our booming area.
“We try to tell you all the good things that are happening in this area since most of us don’t travel very far,” Fiala stated. “This area has been a hotbed of development and we are so pleased to present to you our findings.”In 2017, there were two public forums that gathered information on zoning, traffic regulations, and new business preferences. A final public meeting will be held in the middle of January, and findings will be presented on February 21. The information collected will be considered into Collier County’s plans for development and re-development.
New developments have been generating a lot of buzz. A state-of-the-art community sports complex will break ground later this year. Development plans are ready to launch on the approximately $70 million project, funded from tourist tax dollars.A luxury multi-use high-rise condo-hotel, “Trio,” was also approved and permitted to be built in the “Gateway Triangle” surrounded by US 41, Commercial Drive and Davis Boulevard. Expect to see more big names established within the community as commercial and residential spaces expand.
