The Goodland Civic Association announces the rescheduling of the 6th Annual Members Arts & Crafts Fair to Sunday, February 24, 10 AM to 4 PM, at MarGood Harbor Park in the Village of Goodland. The event, originally slated for January’s Mullet Festival, was regretfully called off due to all-day chilling rains.
The date may have changed, but the fair, with over 30 vendors, still promises fine art, unique crafts, outstanding live music, good food, and a team of volunteer golf-cart drivers ferrying folks between village venues.
One of the more positive occurrences following the wake of Hurricane Irma, was the merging of the Goodland Arts Alliance into the Goodland Civic Association. The GAA, now the Arts Committee of the GCA, remains dedicated to the mission to preserve, promote, and advance the cultural presence in the historic fishing village of Goodland. The village may be tiny, but its talent and tenacity is mighty!
The venue, MarGood Harbor Park, holds well-documented historic and environmental significance. Today native landscaping and lovely walkways wrap around a charming harbor-front. The park also features a museum/interpretive center, two open-air pavilions, and kayak launch.
Remember: if it’s in Goodland, you know it’s good!
