Niccole Howard, Executive Director of Collier Child Care Resources, Inc. said she is pleased to welcome the new members. Laura Stacell received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Illinois State University in Special Ed./Mentally Handicapped with a minor in Elementary Education and later a Master of Science in Education with a major in Learning Disabilities/Emotionally Handicapped. Ms. Stacell taught elementary level children eligible for special education services in Illinois as well as in Naples, Florida. She is a former Head Start Director for Collier School District and a former member of Healthy Start Coalition and Early Learning Coalition of S.W. Florida.
Carolyn Tieger, President of entrePReneur Communications, LLC, is an independent consultant, specializing in public affairs, public relations and crisis management. Previously, Ms. Tieger was a partner with the international public relations firm Porter Novelli, where she also ran its DC office. She held the position of executive vice president of Burson-Marsteller and was an owner and general manager of Goddard Claussen’s Washington, D.C. office. With deep experience in public service, Ms. Tieger also served in the Reagan White House and as a Congressional staffer. In 2008, she received the John Holliman Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award from the University of Georgia, where she majored in journalism, and the National Colby award from Sigma Kappa sorority for Lifetime Achievement in Public Relations. She was named PR News Public Affairs Executive of the Year in 2006 and Washington PR woman of the Year by Washington Women in PR in 2005.
Kristi Lester received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in Communications with a Minor in Marketing. Ms. Lester also holds a Master in Public Administration from Hodges University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is employed by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office as a Public Information Officer Apprentice. Ms. Lester’s volunteer activities include serving as Co-Chair of the Agency Family Activities Committee within the Collier County Sheriff’s Office where she organizes events for CCSO members and their families and speaks before groups for the Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Heart Association to raise awareness of local children born with congenital heart defects.
