Naples Winter Wine Festival volunteers celebrate success

Naples Winter Wine Festival volunteers and trustees of Naples Children & Education Foundation – the founding organization of the festival – recently celebrated the 2012 festival’s success. The brunch celebration took place at Waterside Shops.

NCEF Trustee and Board Chair Anne Welsh McNulty told the group that 347 volunteers spent 3,886 hours working on the 2012 festival, which raised $12.2 million for underprivileged and at-risk children. Volunteer hours increased by 1,000 compared to the 2011 festival, and Joan and Bob Clifford, 2012 festival chairs thanked the volunteers for their remarkable contribution.

Since 2001, the festival has raised $107 million, with proceeds helping more than 150,000 children through yearly grants to nonprofit organizations and major projects including the NCEF Pediatric Dental Center. The 2013 Naples Winter Wine Festival will take place Jan. 25-27.
