Naples Pathway Coalition

Naples Pathway Coalition took action after receiving several complaints from cyclists about the green box at Crayton and Harbour being dangerously slippery when wet.

Executive Director Beth Brainard engaged City officials and the

Naples Streets and Stormwater Department in the issue, and the City offered to bring the manufacturer’s rep to town to look for a solution.

NPC Board member Joe Bonness and Beth met at the site with with the Streets and Traffic Supervisor, a representative from Utilities/Streets and Traffic, and the regional sales manager for Ennis-Flint.

As a result, the City will lay down another layer of skid resistant material on the box and Crayton and Harbour, AND in the future they will increase the  amount of skid resistant material green boxes.

THANK YOU to the CITY OF NAPLES for being so responsive to cycling safety issues.
