Although many are drawn to the Seafood Festival to savor local catch, a lineup of incredible music also stars in this beloved three-day community event.
Friday, March 18 to Sunday, March 20 is the eighth annual Marco Island Seafood and Music Festival at Veterans Community Park. The festival attracts more visitors than any other single event on the island, drawing over 9,000 attendees.
This year, a variety of continuous musical entertainment promises something for every music lover- 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s favorites, rock and roll, country, tribute bands and more. Local favorite Jim Long is sure to bring the crowd up and dancing, as are Supernatural, China Grove, The Manipulators, Smokin Joe & Konnie Band, the Boss Project, Ben Allen Band and Joe Marino & All the Kingsmen. Marco’s DJ Steve Reynolds will kick off the musical weekend live on air- onstage, shortly after the festival opens on Friday.
While enjoying all your musical favorites, try some of the fresh seafood, like Florida shrimp, crab, grouper and mahi mahi. Barbeque and other landlubber foods will also be available. Over 60 arts and crafts vendors and a Kids Zone will keep everyone busy.
The Marco Island Seafood and Music Festival will take place on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19 from 11 AM to 9 PM, and on Sunday, March 20 from 11 AM to 5 PM. Admission is $10 for a single day ticket or $16 for a two-day ticket. Children under 12 are free. Please no coolers or pets. Parking is available at Veterans Community Park, and there is a free bus shuttle service. For more information, including a shuttle schedule, go to www.marcoislandseafoodandmusicfestival.com.
