The first of Marco Presbyterian Church’s “Music for the Soul” Concert Series will be 6 p.m., Jan. 20 and will feature Marv Hollenbeck at the piano playing a potpourri of gospel, sacred and patriotic selections. The concert will be followed by a reception in the courtyard.
Other concerts in the series are:
- Feb.17, contemporary Christian singer, songwriter and recording artist Nathan Clark George. His combination of melodic finger-style guitar, original compositions and time-honored hymns appeal to all ages.
- March 10 the organ and piano duo of Babs Hillenbrand and Marv Hollenbeck will play favorite hymn arrangements on the church’s grand instruments, the three-manual Allen Organ and the seven foot six inch Yamaha Grand Piano. Local music teachers, Sandy and John Stein, playing a variety of musical styles from sacred to jazz, will join them on the flute and piano.
This is the eighth year for Marco Presbyterian Church’s concert series. All concerts are at 6 p.m., free and open to the public. Love offerings will be received.
