On October 24th at 4 PM in Rose History Auditorium, the Marco Island Historical Society will host a very special event to celebrate the naming of the Marco Island Historical Museum’s Modern Marco Exhibit for beloved Marco Islanders Herb and Emily Savage.
Herb and Emily are at the heart of our island’s history. It is fitting that the exhibit that tells the stories of the early years of modern Marco, the Deltona Corporation and the Mackle brothers bear the name of two people who played such an important part in those stories. The naming of this exhibit in their honor is in recognition of their lifetime of contributions to the special place that we call home. Refreshments will be served.
RSVP by October 19 to Susan Pernini at 239-389-6447. The Marco Island Historical Society’s Rose History Auditorium is located at 180 S. Heathwood Drive, Marco Island. For more information visit themihs.info.
