By popular demand, the Marco Island Historical Society (MIHS) is once again bringing world-class entertainment to Marco Island. The first of several musical/variety shows begin this holiday season, with more to come next year. The performances will be held live onstage at the Rose History Auditorium (RHA) on Marco. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience these popular events.
Later this month, on Saturday, November 28, Duo Romantico, the husband and wife team of Atilio and Christy Marinelli, will perform a Tribute to Andrea Bocelli. This classically trained tenor and soprano bring unforgettable chemistry to the RHA stage. As cousins of Italian tenor and songwriter Andrea Bocelli, they know their subject well and even share his exceptional musical talent. Their voices combine in romantic solos and duets from Broadway show songs, “Pop-opera” and other all-time favorites, along with stories of the past, to make their performance nothing short of magical.
Two performances are scheduled, one at 5:30 PM and the other at 8 PM; both are family friendly. Get your tickets early; last year’s performances were record sell-outs.
Tickets are $30 per person with general seating at all performances. Call Brown Bag Tickets at 1-800-838-3006 (phone lines are open 24/7) to purchase your tickets or go in person to the offices of the United Arts Council of Collier County, located at 1495 Pine Ridge Road, Suite 5, Mission West Center, in Naples. Box office hours are Monday-Thursday from 9 AM-4 PM.
Advance tickets will not be sold at the Marco Island Historical Museum, but can be purchased at the door on the night of the performance, if still available. The proceeds from these events, after expenses, will go to the MIHS CATapult Campaign, a fund that was established to facilitate the return of the Marco Island Cat and other treasured artifacts to the Museum.
