An incredible Tuesday afternoon at Hideaway Beach Club goes a long way toward supporting Marco Island healthcare thanks to the efforts of the MI Healthcare Center Auxiliary.
Volunteers had been making preparations for months and expectations were high for this important fund raiser. At stake was an EKG machine for Marco Island Urgent Care. “While part of NCH system, our efforts are focused on providing support right here on Marco Island,” said Anita Heffernan, Publicity Chairperson. “Everyone’s contribution today, both in time and dollars, makes a positive impact on the quality of health care for Marco Island.
The event officially kicked off at 11:30, but many arrived early to catch up on socializing, some wonderful libations and achance to make a bid on the many exceptional donations from local businesses. Boat rentals, flowers, porcelain dolls and an array of other items and services were presented in beautiful fashion by volunteers. Raffle tickets were also being sold for door prizes including the coveted “Money Hats” prior to lunch service.
Near the end of the delicious lunch service, the crew began assembling around the runway for the start of the fashion show. Local clothiers Kay’s on the Beach, Rose Marina, and Beach Daisy prepped their models and introduced them, along with the clothing selections, as they strutted their stuff on the long stage. Both men’s and women’s apparel were on show and drew raves from the audience.

We’re proud of our association with NCH Healthcare. We’re all in this together.”
