The Marco Island branch of Friends of the Collier County Library (FOL) is hosting a Members Appreciation reception on Tuesday, February 22, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the new Rose Hall. The Marco FOL board wishes to honor all FOL members and library supporters who have given so generously during the last five years of intensive fund-raising for the much-needed addition, so please join us. No RSVP needed.
The Marco branch library is the most-visited building on the Island after the supermarkets. There are always many users waiting at the front door when the library opens, and more than 1,000 people use the library daily.
Funds set aside by Collier County plus monies raised by FOL events over the last five years are going to complete the furnishing and decorating of Rose Hall plus purchasing new books, CDs, DVDs, present programs and keep the much-used public computers at the library running in good condition.
