The Research Team on board the Dolphin Explorer is happy to share information about your area dolphins with the Coastal Breeze News readers. Each edition an individual will be profiled so that you, too, might get to know them. Dolphins can be identified by the nicks and marks on their dorsal fins.
Meet MT2
This adult female is an eligible bachelorette. Her calf Fuller is now a sub-adult, old enough to be on its own.
We are in the main mating season for our area dolphins and this fine lady is being followed by two of our adult males, Bangle and Finch. If she becomes pregnant, the gestation period is one year so we might see her with a new calf next fall!
