Danksgiving marks the annual kick-off of Martinis’ live music line-up for season. The day after Thanksgiving, islanders and music lovers headed to Martinis Upstairs, located at 695 Bald Eagle Drive, for an evening of reggae. Three popular acts (El Dub, Wilder Sons, and SOWFLO) performed at the annual Danksgiving concert.
“It’s always a special time of year. A time to break the monotony of island life. I’m always searching to give back to the island…to give them something to look forward to. That’s always my motivation for the events I create. It’s all about bringing smiles to their faces by providing music that makes them feel, moves them, provides an escape, and creates a memory. That’s always my goal,” explains Martinis Upstairs owner, Chad Chupurdia, who has provided live entertainment to Marco Island for 17 years.
“Looping Artist” El Dub opened the evening’s festivities, setting a cool vibe throughout the bar. The “one-man band” captivated the growing audience as he looped and performed intricate productions. The night turned into a dance party as Naples favorites, Wilder Sons, took the stage.

“We are happy to be back at Martinis tonight. It’s always a great crowd. Tonight, we’re playing their favorites along with songs from our new album,” remarks Jake Dorris, lead singer of SOWFLO.
The energy surged to a higher level, as headlining act, SOWFLO, performed for the Martinis’ packed house. All in attendance were on their feet, dancing, and singing along to their favorite songs.
“Giving everyone a memory, providing a fun environment and an escape with quality, live entertainment…Just look at them…This is what it’s all about,” continues Chad Chupurdia, as he looks around the crowded bar.
