The Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort and Spa held an early evening soiree under a perfectly tuned sky. The guests were brought together to celebrate the completion of a $500,000 renovation to the Balinese style health spa and pool area.
The food was light and delectable and in perfect sync with the atmosphere; a variety of Asian pot stickers, crab, lobster and oysters on the half shell accompanied by custom signature drinks served from the bar. A new hydro mineral bath open to the rest of the resort, but enclosed in glass for a sense of seclusion. The location of the bath seems ideal for watching a sunset. New gas fire tables and lamps complimented the azure pool.
Marriott General Manager, Rick Medwedeff, announced, “We are pleased to add to this adult only area to be used by guests looking for a more tranquil resort experience. The expansion will allow local and visiting groups to hold meetings here at the Marriott where they can enjoy with a sense of peace and quiet. The idea came from a conference held at the property last year.”
The spa and health club are accessible to guests only, but a new member program will be available to residents.
The evening included the release of butterflies followed by a captivating fire dancer.
