Marco Island Specialist Certification
Jon Busch, Kathy Hunt, and Susan LaGrotta of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty have received the new Marco Island Specialist Certification from the Marco Island Area Association of Realtors (MIAAOR). They earned the certification by successfully completing an intensive 16-hour certification course that included several modules and topics relating to Marco Island. Busch, Hunt, and LaGrotta are now part of an elite group — less than five percent of MIAAOR Sales Professionals who have this special certification.

New Agents Join John R. Wood Properties
John R. Wood Properties is proud to announce the addition of two new agents to its Marco Island Team — Christopher and Laura Adams. Hailing from the Chicago area, both are licensed real estate agents and part of the Adams Real Estate Team. They both are members of MIAAOR and the Naples Area Board of Realtors. Christopher also is a member of the Marco Island Chamber of Commerce.
The husband-and-wife team began their real estate careers in 1998 with Marco Beach Realty. They are active members of the Marco Island community having volunteered as coaches for the YMCA and Marco Island Charter Middle School from 1998-2009.
Christopher attended Northern Illinois University to study accounting. Prior to joining the real estate industry in 1998 with Marco Beach Realty, he worked in the construction industry. Laura attended Prairie State College and studied interior design. Prior to joining the real estate industry in 1998 with Marco Beach Realty, she was a flight attendant.

Jim Mashey Joins Berkshire Hathaway-Marco Island
Jim Mashey, ePro, Realtor, has formally announced that he has decided to affiliate with The Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Florida Realty, Marco Island Office located at 900 N. Collier Blvd., effective July 1.
Mashey has been a member of MIAAOR since September 1997. He has served on MIAAOR’s Board of Directors as their vice president and was the recipient of the MIAAOR Robbie Clark Award for Service to the Community and the Real Estate Profession in 1999. In 2001, he received the Board’s Unsung Hero Award for Generous Service to the Community, and in 2004, Mashey was recognized as Realtor of the Year by MIAAOR. He was the only realtor to have ever won all three awards at that time. In addition to his other responsibilities, he also served as the chairperson for the MLS Committee, 1999-2002, when MIAAOR transitioned to an internet-based data system.
Mashey has a long history of successin the real estate business having been recognized by Prudential Florida WCI Realty (now Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Florida Realty) as a million dollar producing agent in 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2003, and was awarded Prudential’s Leading Edge Society Award in 2000 and the Prudential President’s Circle Award in 2004.
He is well known in Marco Island’s real estate community and continually strives to keep up with the very latest in technology and the real estate market. Jim earned The National Association of Realtors prestigious e-Pro Designation in June 2004, which has enabled him to successfully complete real estate transactions entirely over the internet from as far away as England and Germany.

RE/MAX Affinity Plus Among Nation’s Top Real Estate Brokerages
RE/MAX Affinity Plus, one of the most successful real estate companies in Marco Island, ranks among the 50 most productive real estate brokerages in the U.S., based on home sales data in the prestigious 2014 REAL Trends 500 survey.
