Since 1999, the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa has received the esteemed AAA Four Diamond Rating. That’s 17 consecutive years of quality resort management and hospitality. This year was no different. On March 2, AAA representative Douglas Harper presented the hotel staff with the coveted plaque, acknowledging their hard work and dedication to providing guests with a one-of-a kind vacation experience.
“We have exceptional resort staff and I am very proud to be a part of this great team,” said Hilton General Manager Mac Chaudhry. “Our goal is to exceed our guests’ expectations. Each team member lives with this motto. This award shows the commitment of our team to provide personal, friendly and consistent service.”
The staff met on the 11th floor penthouse deck that overlooks the ocean and much of Marco. There they took pictures, chatted with one another and congratulated themselves on their achievement. Afterwards they settled into one of the penthouse rooms and got back to business. There they discussed departmental updates, went over hotel reviews and talked about areas where they could improve. Then, on a less serious note, they ate cake and had a little fun.
Of the approximate 28,000 AAA approved hotels only about six percent receive this rating and in North America just 1,587 hotels share the Four Diamond title. According to the AAA website, a Four Diamond Rating is defined by a hotel who’s characteristics are “refined, stylish with upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.” Maintaining this award is a tribute to the Hilton’s dedication to hospitality and the hardworking members of their team who make it possible.
“AAA is pleased to recognize Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa as a Four Diamond Hotel,” said Michael Petrone, director of AAA Inspections & Diamond Ratings. “To maintain the exceptional standards required for this rating on a daily basis is an outstanding achievement. AAA Four Diamond establishments are attentive to guests needs and consistently deliver memorable travel and dining experiences.”
