The Public is invited.
Every year, the City of Marco Island Beautification Advisory Committee promotes an event to educate the public on different topics of interest to the community. This year, we named the event “Marco Nature Night, Explore your Environment.” This informative event will take place on February 19 at 5:30-7:30 PM in the community room adjacent to the Police station (51 Bald Eagle Drive).
Topics are “Starter Owl Burroughs Program and Marco Wildlife” presented by Dr. Allison Smith, Biologist from Audubon Western Everglades. “10 Edible Landscape to use on Marco and Enhance your yard with food sources” presented by Dr. Stephen Brady, retired from medicine and morphed into a curator of tropical fruits for Naples Botanical Gardens. And “Storm Water and Me, How to be Pollution Free” by Samantha Gibson, environmental Specialist from Collier County Pollution Control.
There will be exhibits from the presenters’ organizations, as well as from Rookery Bay Research Reserve, The Calusa Garden Club, Marco Island Nature Preserve & Bird Sanctuary, Master Gardener, and Marco Island Center for the Arts.
Come and enjoy great information as well as giveaways, tropical fruit samples and lite bites courtesy of the JW Marriott.
Marco residents and visitors are invited to attend!
