At the May 8th meeting, 11 members and guests enjoyed a talk by author/educator, Gary McLouth, a published short story writer. His topic, fittingly, was “Why write a short story?” He explained the dynamics of short story writing which are very different from novel-writing. Gary’s presentation ended with his reading of a delightful short story of his own.
Unfortunately no time remained for questions. Following McClouth’s talk, member Robert Messier presented a medley through video and song that was the inspiration for the first half of his newest novel, SEEDS which is a story of Love and Redemption. The second half of Robert’s novel will be presented at the July 10th meeting.
