Please join us for a two hour workshop at our March meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, from 6-8 PM. Janice Hardy of Fiction University will illustrate techniques to construct a novel that will keep readers turning its pages. Some of the areas she will focus on include creating empathic characters, compelling storylines, inspiring settings, and other components of a good read. Janice will use hands-on exercises to illustrate these techniques in the workshop. Participants will be able to go home and apply them to their writing.
Bring your laptop or printed pages. Published author or still just writing it in your head, this will stoke your passion for writing.
Please come a little early so we can start at 6 PM sharp. For this special event, there is a door fee of $15 for members/reciprocals and $25 for nonmembers. Cash or check, please.
Successful Presentation by Jennifer Fitzgerald
Jennifer FitzGerald of Fort Myers-based Mother Spider Book Designs blew us away with her presentation on February 10, 2016. In addition to a fantastic presentation about book design, text formatting, and other aspects of marketing, she delivered a dynamite question-and-answer session. People were still buzzing when they left the meeting.
