Marco Island Writers Meet

By Maggie Gust

On Wednesday, December 9, 2015, Marco Island Writers, Inc. will enjoy a presentation by Dr. Rich Blonna. His topic will be “Marketing Checklist.” Basically, it is a how-to for writers to build a platform for promotion of their works, as well as themselves. Following his presentation, there will be a social time with holiday snacks, beverages, and a blind book exchange. Please see our website for details explaining the fun book exchange.

The November 11, 2015 meeting was very busy. Thanks are due to our president Joanne Tailele for sharing “The Ten Most Important Things I Have Learned” in her writing career. She reminded us of why we started writing.

Marco Island Writers, Inc. is open to writers of all skill levels and genres. If you write for yourself, your family, or want to be published, our group may be just the spark plug you need to get going on that writing project. Our motto is “Writers helping writers.” Our meeting place is the Marco Island Center for the Arts, 1010 Winterberry Drive, Marco Island. First time visitors are welcomed free of charge. We meet the second Wednesday of each month, year round, from 6 to 8 PM. Doors open at 5:30 PM for sign-in and a chance to network prior to the meeting. For more information, call Joanne Tailele at 239-784-2637, or visit our website at www.marcoislandwriters.com.
