Marco Island Woman’s Club: Just Having Fun!

With the highly successful Marco Island Woman’s Club fashion show and luncheon marked off the calendar, the ladies took a well-deserved break to just have fun at their annual Cards & Games Party at the Marco Island Yacht Club.

Past Presidents Carolyn Atkins and Arleen Soldano, were the event Co- Chairs and hosted over seventy women. President Priscilla Penn welcomed everyone and Past President Jaclyn Pierce gave the invocation.

Following the delicious lunch, ladies enjoyed playing a variety of games, including Bridge, Canasta, Farkle, Hand Knee and Foot, Mah Jong and Mexican Train. First place winners at each table won a centerpiece.

Marco Island Woman’s Club next meeting is Wednesday, March 7th at the Marco Island Yacht Club. Social time begins at 11:30 AM, followed by lunch at noon.

The Club is both an active social network and a civic-minded organization with a long, proud history of serving the community.

Marco Island Woman’s Club is hosting a “Spring Bling Luncheon & Jewelry Fashion Show” on Tuesday, March 13 starting at 11:30 AM at Hideaway Beach Club. Jewelry will be presented by Richard Alan, designer and master goldsmith, of The Harbor Goldsmith of Marco Island. It will also include designer accessories, door prizes, silent auction and raffle. Proceeds from this event will support the Marco Island Woman’s Club Foundation, which provides scholarships to deserving high school seniors living on Marco Island, and other local charities.
