For the eighth consecutive year, the two Rotary Clubs and the Kiwanis Club of Marco Island are working together on this very successful joint venture: Marco Island Seafood and Music Festival, the Island’s single largest, all-volunteer, community event. Enjoy a weekend of festivities on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19 from 11AM to 9 PM, and on Sunday, March 20 from 11 AM to 4 PM, at Veterans Community Park located in the center of Marco Island.

“Little did we know when we started this festival it would continue to grow each year to over 9,000 visitors” said Stan Niemcyzk, the festival founder. No other event on Marco Island draws so many visitors.

Marco Island’s Veterans Community Park, once again turns into a spectacular variety of continuous entertainment. Featured entertainers throughout the three days on the Seminole Casino Stage include: Friday evening – Santana/Doobie Brothers Tribute Band, and on Saturday evening – The Boss Project, Tribute to Bruce Springsteen.

Attendees can also expect some of the best seafood in Florida including: Fresh Florida shrimp, crab cakes, grouper, mahi mahi, and an assortment of landlubbers favorites, all under a 60 x 90 food tent sponsored by Mutual of Omaha Bank. Visitors won’t want to miss the special Kids Zone and over 60 arts & crafts vendors.

This year’s major sponsors also include: Condee Cooling and Electric, Physicians Regional Healthcare Systems, Winn Dixie and Fresh From Florida.

One hundred percent of the monies raised goes directly to local and international humanitarian programs sponsored by the Noon Time Rotary Club, Sunrise Rotary Club and Kiwanis Club of Marco Island. “Each year we’ve grown and tried to make it better. This year, we’re going all out and taking it to the next level,” said Dianna Dohm, festival director.

The Marco Island Seafood and Music Festival is truly a community family event, bringing islanders and visitors, from as far away as Atlanta, together in the spirit of good food and fun.

The entry fee is $10, or enjoy a two-day pass for only $16. Kids under 12 are free. Parking can be found at Veterans Community Park. The Seminole Casino will be providing free shuttle bus service throughout the Island.
