Rotary’s commitment to vocational service is built on the highest ethical standards in business and professions. Throughout the world, Rotary is admired for its vocational service and for the time-honored values we instill in all business relationships. We all contribute mightily to the world when we conduct our work with integrity and always adhere to the Four-Way Test. George Abounader exemplifies not only the highest level of integrity in his business and volunteer and personal life, but he also is the supreme example of Service Above Self in the Community at large, and specifically for the children, in his exceptional level of volunteer service throughout the community. George was recognized for the following reasons:

- George’s Big Heart for all students.
- George’s selfless contributions to the Community for which he was recognized with The Spirit of Marco Island Award in 2015
- George’s sharing of his knowledge and skills as an Educator in the Rotary Club as Coordinator of Students of the Month and Dictionary Day, Scholarship Committee Member, Board Member and Past President, Member of Board of Trustees of the Marco Island Rotary Foundation, and his always willing and enthusiastic spirit to share his composition, graphic design, publishing and many talents.
