The Collier County Board of County Commissioners has approved Saturday hours at the Marco Island Branch of the Collier County Public Library. The Saturday hours will go into effect on Dec. 5 and will extend the number of days that branch is open to six and the number of hours to 52 every week.
Effective Dec. 5, the library’s operating hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
“I am thrilled that Marco Island residents and visitors will now be able to go to the library on Saturdays,” said Commissioner Donna Fiala, who represents the area. “This is an important resource for our community and so important to the Islanders.”
The Marco Island Branch Library, which is located at 210 S. Heathwood Drive, Marco Island, Florida 34145, has been serving the community since March 1998.
Don’t have a Collier County Library card? Stop by the branch and staff will be pleased to assist you. Library cards are free to Collier County residents and visitors can purchase a library card for $10 a month.
