The Marco Island Historical Society (MIHS) has launched a new online program so that you can get your history on during these homebound days. The new History at Home interactive page presents a number of fun and educational activities for all ages.
Who doesn’t like to color? Images representing Marco Island’s human and natural history have been converted to coloring book pages that can be downloaded and printed for the coloring fun to begin. Other activities include a Word Search game with word selections based on significant items and places that are part of Marco Island’s history. Additional online activities will be added soon.
In addition, the virtual “door” to the Marco Island Historical Society collection is always open to all with over 19,000 objects, photos, artwork and more from the collection available in the online database.
