Museum volunteers are extremely necessary as we continue to build the image of our magnificent museum. The CALUSA INDIANS lived on the island thousands of years ago. Their ARTIFACTS were found here in 1896. Most of these precious objects are now in the Smithsonian Institute.
How To Get Our Artifacts Back
THE DREAMERS conceived the idea of building a CALUSA INDIAN type museum Village. They built it and paid for it. THE VOLUNTEERS will keep the DREAM alive as they welcome visitors giving information, projecting a positive attitude that one day our ARTIFACTS will be returned. THE COMMITMENT- 3 hours of your time – 10 to 1 or 1 to 4. Give Louise Russell a call 394-1960 or email me email@example.com or stop by the museum. Being a docent is fun and you meet many interesting people.
As we begin to organize for the busy season we need your help. We are open from 10 to 4
Tuesday-Saturday. We have many openings for docent/greeters in September and October.
*Louise will be away the month of October, if you have any questions or would like to volunteer email Lisa at LisaMarciano@colliergov.net or call 642-1440.
