Raven Air Island Hoppers has been based at the Marco Island Executive Airport since 2008 offering on-demand air charters, aerial tours, aircraft maintenance and aerial photography. The new scheduled flights will offer area residents and visitors an affordable and convenient transportation option to and from Key West.
The new service is expected to be a welcome boost to the Marco Island Executive Airport, as well as local tourism. Collier County Airport Authority Manager Justin Lobb said, “With the addition of this new scheduled air service from the Marco Island Executive Airport, residents and visitors alike will now have affordable and convenient access to the Keys without the hassle of long road trips or costly air charters.”
Board of County Commissioners Chairman Donna Fiala, District 1, whose district includes the City of Marco Island and the airport, is supportive of the new service. “This is a wonderful addition to our community. Visitors and community members alike will enjoy this immensely,” said Fiala.
