Pat Neale, Marco Island attorney, is not only well known on Marco Island; he’s received many awards for his contributions to the Marco Island community, including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Neale has now added two more distinguished awards from Legal Aid Service of Collier County to his long list of recognition. He is honored to be selected as the second ever recipient of the Leadership Award, and the first to receive the Attorney of the Month twice – this time for November 2011. Legal Aid Pro Bono Coordinator Jeffrey A. Ahern praised Pat’s many contributions to legal aid, stating that, “Your leadership and support of Legal Aid in so many areas has tremendously assisted in the growth of our program, an increase in pro bono service by members of the private bar, and in raising awareness about the work our program performs in the community.”
Pro bono services for the poor and needy have played an ever-increasing role in the legal system in recent years, and many lawyers such as Mr. Neale have stepped forward without compensation to provide necessary functions for those needing assistance.
Mr. Neale has practiced law on Marco Island for many years, and opened an office in Naples some months ago. Recently he has provided service for those threatened with foreclosure, and for those seeking bankruptcy protection and debt consolidation.
He is a past President of the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce, and is currently on its Board of Directors. Mr. Neale was also prominent in leading United Way in Collier County, as well as Youth Haven. He is a graduate of Leadership Collier.
Mr. Neale will receive his awards at the Fourth Annual Barrister’s Bash fundraiser event for Legal Aid Service of Collier County at the Hilton Hotel in Naples on April 19th.
