
City of Marco Island
Marco Island has six miles of spectacular beaches, including a three-and-a-half mile crescent beach. From Tigertail Beach with its abundance of native flora and fauna, to South Beach, where a variety of beach experiences and activities are available, Marco Island offers a unique and fantastic beach experience to all of its visitors and residents.
Tigertail Beach
Tigertail Beach, part of the Great Florida Birding Trail, is operated by the Collier County Parks and Recreation Department and hosts 60 species of migrating and resident coastal birds. The widest beach in Collier County opens up south of Tigertail Beach Park and is accessible via a half mile walk from the parking lot at Tigertail Beach Park.
Unsurpassed shelling, swimming and bird watching await beach goers. There is a nominal fee for visitors and County residents can obtain free parking stickers at Caxambas Park, located at the south end of Collier Blvd.

City Public Beach Access
A newly constructed access is located between the Royal Seafarer Condominium (300 S. Collier Blvd.) and the Madeira Resort (310 S. Collier Blvd.). This centrally located access is for pedestrian use only. There are bike racks, but no parking or facilities are available. This access is available for nearby residents and visitors. Residents’ Beach
Marco Island’s Residents’ Beach is centrally located along Collier Blvd. and San Marco Road. Annual membership is required and is available to owners of developed property and those who rent for at least two months on Marco Island. Contact the Marco Island Civic Association for more information, (239) 642-7778. Facilities include chickee huts, picnic tables with charcoal grills, playground, restrooms, benches, handicapped accessible

South Beach
The southern-most public beach location is along Collier Blvd. and Swallow Avenue. The parking lots are located on Swallow Avenue, east of Collier Blvd. One parking lot is maintained by Collier County and has the same requirements as the Tigertail Beach parking lot. The other parking lot is part of Marco Island Civic Association and has the same requirements as Resident’s Beach. Restrooms are located in both parking lots. A paved pedestrian walkway runs from Collier Blvd. to the beach. An adjacent restaurant, Sunset Grill, (239) 642-6767, serves beach goers.
Hideaway Beach
Hideaway Beach is located to the North of Tigertail Beach. It is within a gated community but is accessible on foot at low tide from the 210 space public parking lot at Tigertail Beach. Along the approximately half-mile walk, view wading birds and native plants of Southwest Florida.
