He leaves behind his wife of 48 years (Lorraine Blouin), a daughter Susan (Mrs. Anthony Puleo), a son Kenneth and (Mrs. Stephanie LeFrancois), 3 grandchildren (Amanda, Shayne and Kayti), 3 sisters, a brother-predeceased and several nieces and nephews. Originally from Salem, MA, he was employed by GE for 27 years as a Computer Systems Analyst. He retired and moved to Florida in 1991 with his wife Lorraine. Marcel was a strong influence in preserving and restoring the first church on Marco Island built in 1937 and re-dedicated in March of 2001. The project remained near and dear to his heart. The church now sits proudly as a Historic Site on the New Life Community Church of God property at 590 West Elkcam Circle.
Visitation and a celebration of Marcel’s life will be held at the Historical Church on Wednesday, April 25th from 5-7pm. The family has requested a private inurnment immediately following visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Avow Hospice of Naples Florida, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the Living Memorial Fund.
