Lauren Feinman and her family picked the perfect name for their latest restaurant venture. Mango’s Dockside Bistro at The Esplanade offers even more than its name suggests.

The restaurant, which opened its doors just over a month ago, gives off a fresh, tropical feel before one even walks through the door. Brightly colored umbrellas hover over the outdoor tables just as they did at The Chef’s Express, the Feinman’s previous restaurant in Old Marco. Lauren and her parents, Rick and Chef Annie, served breakfast and lunch and catered events for over six years as owners of The Chef’s Express before moving on to their new location at The Esplanade. Lauren says “going into The Esplanade was a perfect fit. Now there are three family owned and operated restaurants here, and we brought the finishing touch by serving our well known and popular breakfast.”

Many of Chef Annie’s gourmet breakfast and lunch items can be found on their new menu at Mango’s. She has shared her secrets with day Chef, Salvador Gomez, who cooks all her recipes to perfection. Regulars at their previous establishment will be happy to see that the Crunchy Delight French Toast, Lobster Eggs Benedict and the King Crab Salad Stuffed Avocado, to name a few, are still on the menu.

Unlike The Chef’s Express, Mango’s is also open for dinner. Chef Annie and Mango’s evening Chef, Jack Bowden, have put together a dinner menu that ranges from a Hawaiian

Chicken Sandwich to Filet Mignon to Mahi Mahi with a sweet mango glaze.

Mango’s also runs their version of Happy Hour, called “Island Time,” from 8AM to 6PM every day. This includes $1.50 domestic drafts, $2.25 domestic bottles, $3.50 house wines and $3.25 well drinks. Live music is offered on Wednesday nights and weekends.

Don’t forget to bring your dog along when you stop by. The pet-friendly establishment allows leashed dogs to be at their outside tables. They even have a menu for your pet called “Sweet Pea’s Canine Selections.” Treat your furry friend to chopped chicken breast or chopped bacon at just $3 each. They also feature a fine children’s menu.

One more offering to come in the near future is the addition of a deli. Lilly B’s Specialty Market and Delicatessen will be connected to the restaurant and will offer a variety of deli meats and cheeses as well as pre-made sandwiches and more. Boaters will be able to pull up dockside, grab a picnic lunch to go and take off on the water again.

The waterfront restaurant offers fresh food, a fabulous atmosphere and a family-oriented staff that is friendly and timely. If these are things you enjoy, then Mango’s Dockside Bistro at The Esplanade is for you.

Mango’s is open seven days a week, 8AM to 10PM, Sunday through Thursday and 8AM to 11PM, Friday and Saturday. They are located at 760 N. Collier Blvd, at The Esplanade and may be reached at 239-393-2433.
