Submitted Photos

Before the Coronavirus closed the schools, Manatee Elementary held its first Vehicle Career Day! The day was coordinated by School Counselor Deborah Eby and Science Coach Nicole Micieliand together, they made it a huge success! Fourteen vehicles representing many different career options available right here in Southwest Florida lined up in the school’s bus loop and students were able to rotate in small groups to each one. Every vehicle’s representative gave a short talk about their vehicle, how its used in their daily job, and what education or training was required for their position.

Participants included: Collier County Sherriff’s Department, Greater Naples Fire/Rescue, Collier County Facilities, Tuscany Villa, South Florida Excavation, Truly Nolen Pest Control, Florida Power and Light, CAT bus, Affordable Landscaping, and Palisades Construction Enterprises. A great time was had by all!
