Mailing Begins for Absentee Ballots

On Wednesday, May 21, the Collier County Supervisor of Elections Office sent its first mailing of mail/absentee ballots to domestic non-uniformed voters for the upcoming Special General Election for US Congressional District 19.

Voters may submit requests online at www.CollierVotes.com under the “Vote by Mail” tab.  Requests can also be made by calling the Supervisor of Elections Office at (239) 252-VOTE. By law, mail/absentee ballots cannot be forwarded and can only be delivered to the address on file with the Supervisor of Elections Office.

The deadline for voters to request a ballot to be delivered by mail for this election is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

Voted ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections Office, by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, June 24, 2014. Ballots can be dropped off or mailed back to the Supervisor of Elections Office in the official envelope provided. The voter’s signature is required on the outside of the ballot return envelope.

Voters who receive a mail/absentee ballot and decide to vote in person on Election Day should bring their marked or unmarked ballot to their polling location so it can be cancelled. For additional requirements to vote by mail, visit www.CollierVotes.com under the “Mail/Absentee” tab.
