The fence is up, the PODS are packed, and the building is going down! The curtain has closed on Mackle Park’s Community Center, the longtime hub of recreation on Marco Island. But the show will go on! Although the outdoor activities will remain much the same throughout the demolition and new construction at the park, the indoor activities have been relocated to the Family Church, 1450 Winterberry Drive.
“So far everyone has been very receptive to our new location,” said Lola Dial, recreation manager, noting that the facilities at the Family Church are very nice. “Many programs are already taking place at the church and there will be more to follow in the upcoming months.”
