All dressed up and ready to go, the newest addition to the Shops at Eagle Creek Plaza at US Route 41 and Collier Boulevard is Lowe’s. Store manager Cecil Riner tells us that the new store will be holding a soft opening for commercial accounts and contractors on December 17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a variety of vendors offering gifts, raffles and giveaways with a grand prize of a toolbox full of tools. There will also be a contractor’s luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The official grand opening will be held on December 23 and will be celebrated with a “Board Cutting” (rather than a ribbon cutting) ceremony at 10 a.m. There will be many opening specials including a Build and Grow Kids Clinic where kids from grades 2 to 5 will be able to build their own Tic Tac Toe Board at 6 p.m. and will be rewarded with Lowe’s aprons.

On grand opening day, in a program called “Buy a Gift Card, Build a House”, Lowe’s will match all gift card sales up to $5,000 with proceeds donated to Habitat For Humanity. They will also present the Principal of Lely Elementary with a $1,000 grant to help with education.

In addition there will be a sweepstakes each day from December 18 through December 25 with prizes valued up to $100 and a grand prize awarded to one winner on December 27 of up to $500.

Manager, Cecil Riner states that he, and his team, are committed to providing outstanding customer service, being a good neighbor, and invites everyone to visit the store.
