The owners of Cocomo’s Grill on Marco Island are spreading extra cheer this holiday season. Scott and Bonnie Gibbs, who are also Marco Island residents, have made a number of donations to local charities this year. One such donation was to St. Matthew’s House in Naples. The local homeless shelter was gifted with cases of food including six turkeys along with all the trimmings for a holiday meal. “We have always said that we would like to give back to the community when we were financially able. After seven years in our current business we are finally at a point where we are able to do so,” says Scott Gibbs. Another donation was made on Christmas Eve at the Wal-Mart on Collier Blvd and US-41. Through The Joy of Giving Foundation, the Gibbs family donated 18 bicycles to local children.  Each child was able to pick out their own bicycle at the Wal-Mart. “My family and I are very pleased to be able to help others during the holiday season. It feels great,” adds Gibbs.

Cocomo’s Restaurant is located at 945 N. Collier Blvd. and may be reached by phone at 239-394-3600.
