Every year for the past twenty years, Florida cattleman Hal Phillips, a third generation cattleman, has left the Phillips Ranch in Morriston and come to Marco Island for the annual Florida Cattlemen’s convention. For the past fifteen years he has taken a fishing trip with Captain Bubby Hail. Hail reports, “These days we’re getting the best catches of tarpon, grouper, shark, and Spanish mackerel.”
