Letter to the Editor: Harris

Councilor Honecker, I’m surprised that you said ‘repugnant’, when a prime definition is ‘antagonistic’, which describes your actions to a “T”. I disagree with a lot of things you said. One is that you must meet with the City Manager before every meeting to be effective. Roger must feel distrusted if he has to meet with all Councilors individually before each meeting.

You, and all the other Councilors, must feel confused or not understanding each time you feel the need to enlighten the public, staff, and managers with your questions and suggestions on agenda items, since you say that these things indicate those traits in Councilor Rios.

Had I known that you required additional training to be an “effective” Councilor, I would not have voted for you.

As for City Manager’s you’ve “had the pleasure to work with”, does that include those that you orchestrated efforts to fire?

I know that it irritates you that Victor Rios was voted into office by the citizens of Marco, ahead of your chosen candidate, but he has the same rights, voice and vote as you. He hasn’t forgotten that we voted for him to be our voice, and do what’s best for Marco as a whole; not just for special interests. It irritates me that you, Sacher, and “point-of-order” constantly interrupt and belittle Victor, and try to smear him; that is unethical and unprofessional. You must miss EyeOnMarco!

To Councilor Rios: Illegitimi non carborundum!
