The Lely High School National Honor Society held a dinner at the Marco Island Marriott in honor of the Lely High School Top 100. The Top 100 program recognizes the top 25 students in each grade level, offering a monetary award to seniors as a way to recognize that academics are an important part of high school.

This year’s guest speaker was Judge Christine Greider, one of three Collier County judges who graduated from Lely High School. Judge Greider said the most powerful words she ever came to hear were, “Would you help me?” “Ask for help.” she said, “When those four words are spoken, people will generally respond and provide help. I hope your first steps on this path are met with joy, gratitude and determination, because fear accomplishes nothing.” She went on to congratulate the seniors saying she hoped many would come back to live and work where they grew up. To the younger classes, she expected NOT to see them in the juvenile court system and mentioned the importance of keeping up ‘your good name’.

Below lists the Top 100 by class, bold names indicate National Honor Society Officers.
