Lely Earns Medals at 3A State Track & Field

Recently, Lely High School scored medals in the high jump, boys 800, and girls 4×800 events at the 3A State Track & Field Championships at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

Competitors finishing in the top eight spots earned a medal.

In the high jump, Richard Annorat went 6-feet-2-inches for 6th place.

In the 800 meter run, Dieuvenel Tanis recorded a time of 1:58.30, which was good enough for an 8th place finish.

The girls 4×800, with Christie Thorstenson, Taylor Fetzer, Mallory Bell and Rosie Polling, recorded a time of 9:46.2, for an 8th place finish.

Tanis, Gage Wheeler, Dalton Herrity and Joshua Wagner placed 12th in the boys 4×800, in a time of 8:10.88.

Wheeler also competed in the 3200 meter run, placing 12th, in a time of 10:04.27. In the girls 3200, Poling raced to 13th place, in a time of 11:31.98.
